THANK YOU Coastal Orthopedics for hosting another very successful 5k to support the Bath area food bank... kudos to Amin for pulling it all together!

The Bath Area Food Bank is proud to be able to help students in RSU1 schools! We supply Dike Newell, Fisher Mitchell, Bath Middle school and Morse with Healthy snacks for children, we have a 'mini' food pantry located off the library at Morse and we give ALL the RSU1 schools nearly 200 Christmas and Thanksgiving meals! We wish all the students of RSU1 a safe and happy school vacation!

We go thru SO MANY plastic grocery bags...if you have a 'bag of bags' looking for a home...PLEASE drop them off at the Bath Area Food Pantry 150 Congress Street. There is a large wooden chest just inside the double glass doors..When I purchase bags..I pay 25.00 a case...'sigh'.

AMAZING...This is the Sunrise Rotary group of Bath...This group has been so involved with the BAFB! They donated 65 pounds of butter, they donate to help us purchase food, AND Bob (third gentleman from the left in the back) is working on GRANTS to help us build a new veggie cart! THANK YOU ALL for helping out tonight...I am glad I got to be there!!

Due to the extreme cost of eggs presently...the BAFB has been finding it harder and harder to supply our families with them...an anonymous donor found out that we are no longer able to purchase eggs and has come forward to COVER THE COST THEMSELVES! We will be able to purchase 100 dozen every month thanks to this very generous donor! Eggs are now 2.99 a dozen!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to the Topsham Hannaford store! It is getting harder and harder for the BAFB to obtain frozen meats to give to our families... HANNAFORD donated over 275lbs of frozen meats today...most of which was whole frozen chickens! PLEASE...if you are in the Topsham Hannaford and see an employee or manager...THANK THEM for being so generous!!!

THANK YOU ALL that took the time to come to our first Open House! There were many there, I didn't get pictures of most... I was doing tours...but please know how much I appreciate you taking the time to come! I am also sending a HUGE thank you to my board of directors....they had the faith in me to make huge changes at the food pantry and supported me the whole way! THANK YOU!!

Please say hi to my friends from Grace Episcopal Church! They are smiling here..but they were EXHAUSTED by the end of the night! We close at 7pm, but these beautiful volunteers stayed until nearly 8:30 because we had so many families to serve! It was the busiest night in over 3 years! Thank you ALL for your patience and hard work...you helped feed nearly 50 families in 3.5 hours!

Thank you Peggy and Sam for joining Barbara Leeman, Daniel, Bill and Shelia at the food pantry tonight. Shelves are stocked and they all worked hard...the wonderful thing about this group...they greeted EVERY client (and we were busy) with a smile and introduced themselves! Clients were stopping me and saying 'you have such nice volunteers'! YES WE DO!!

I LOVE BIG CHECKS! I know they don't look big...but they fill half the wall! Here are two we have received just this year and they are hanging proudly at our pantry...one from Bath Middle School and the other from Morse High School. It was the JMG students that awarded the fund from Morse. Thank you all for choosing the Bath Area Food Bank to support and working SO HARD to raise the funds!!
