Tony and Brendon took our BIGGEST load of bottles today! PLEASE do not leave bottles in BOXES or paper bags...if you really want to help...we have 'clynk bags' inside the lobby of the food bank...go on in...there are some hanging in there..THAT WOULD REALLY HELP if you would bag them before you drop them off! ... Maybe if someone could put up a big sign on or near the returnable drop off pen stating about the "Clynk" bags.
Just a suggestion❤
Tony, I can help. Maybe Wednesdays after lunch at BAFB? Let me know other days\times.
There should be a sign on the bottle redemption container with all of the rules that are required for donating bottles instead of shaming people on Facebook. Yesterday I brought over a small paper bag with handles of bottles because there was no rain in the forecast for at least a week. I was watched out the window(from the door right next to the bottle area) pulling up getting out of my car and putting the bottles in. Instead of the person watching me stepping outside and saying hey, would you like a clynk bag they decided to post on Facebook about paper bags instead. The shaming has happened more than once. I am more than happy to donate my bottles on a weekly basis, as I have been, but I’m not a fan of the shaming. Unfortunately, I do not have room for large clynk bags in my home. This is why I started donating so I didn’t have to fill up a large Clynk bag. Please clarify if you only want bottles in clynk bags, and I will bring mine to a different organization.
Thank you for letting us know, and when I get to hannaford’s I’ll pick some up
