Once volunteers like Anne, Mary and Don (not pictured) go thru 1000's of pounds of produce...we are able to get @ 1/2-3/4 left. Everything else gets boxed up and a local farmer pics it up. ANYTHIG that is left outside at the end of a Tuesday night shift also goes to our local farmer. We start all over again on Thursday. ... See MoreSee Less

Thank you!! Such dedication and hard work!!
Great group to work with! I don't often go outdoors & see it come together. Looks really nice!!
They’re so amazing! Thank you, Mary, Anne, and Don! 🥰
This is the amount of food rescue produce we get in two days (and this is a light weekend). We get more through out the week. It is called 'rescue produce' because it is too good for farm animals, and has some life left in it for our families. Each and every one of these boxes has to be gone thru by volunteers. It takes HOURS to go thru all this produce every single week. Since we are human, we could miss something, but we all do our very best to NOT put out anything that we would not eat ourselves. Our director repeats it over and over 'if you would not feed it to your family, throw it in the farm box.' If you find something in the outside tent you do not feel is adequate, feel free to throw it in one of the boxes under the tables. ... See MoreSee Less

BAFB does an amazing job. Director Kimberly F. Gates cares about quality & would never put out anything she would not feed to her family.

We will never be able to thank General Dynamics enough for all this food! When a ship goes out on trials, they give the leftover groceries to help feed food insecure families in the Bath area. The food that was delivered today will go in our outside tent, make 100's meals for our soup kitchen and go in boxes for our families. THANK YOU!! ... See MoreSee Less

Thanks for sharing this information . I had no idea that this was being done . I had often wondered what had happened to the left over food from these ship trials . So glad for your wonderful organization! 💕
Thank you once again, BIW, for your continued support and generosity!

Thank you for all you do.
So lucky to live in the BATH AREA and to have KIMBERLY 💖
Thank you General Dynamics for the many years that you have supported Bath Area Food Bank! Many thanks to the volunteers and Kimberley Gates who give so much of their time and kindness to area families...I love our community ❤️
A FABULOUS meal that was created by using everything our friend picked up at the food bank!
Rice noodles, rotisserie chicken, canned carrots, water chestnuts, canned diced green chilis (with the juice), onions.
The sauce:
Soy sauce, honey, ginger paste (but ground ginger can be used), pepper.
Optional add-ins if they’re in the pantry or if you can get them at the dollar store:
Sesame oil
Mirin
Sesame seeds
you can add in peanut butter to the noodle dish to make it more like pad Thai

I love pb in thai food
Do you have a space filled with these white Shaws reusable bags?? WE COULD REALLY USE THEM! We ask that they are clean and come from a non smoking home. You can drop off at the food bank, 807 Middle Street in Bath. Go to the front double glass door, push the button to the left, the door will open and there is a donation bin inside the lobby. You can drop off 24/7. Thank you in advance, we are going thru @ 75-100 a day! Please, no paper bags. ... See MoreSee Less
